Why vocabulary is worth the time
Verbal Reasoning leans on knowing what words mean more than on any technique. A child who knows that candid means honest does not need a strategy for the question — and the same words come back as synonyms, antonyms, odd-one-out and cloze, so each one is worth several marks across a paper.
Reading a real book still beats every game here. These are for the ten minutes in the car.
